I am Katie Barberi and I am a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, Sports Nutritionist, Health Coach, Personal Trainer, and Group Fitness Instructor with specializations in Prenatal and Postnatal Exercise and Nutrition, Women's Health, and working with Endurance Athletes. I started out my career 12 years ago working with cyclists, triathletes, and runners. After having children I have gained significant knowledge in the women's health realm, and more specifically Prenatal and Postnatal women. I now have the joy of working in both areas and I love it! It keeps me on my toes!
I am married to my wonderful husband, Stefano Barberi and I am also a mama to my wonderful son's Micheli and Pietro. I understand that nutrition and being healthy and active can be difficult in anyone's life and my goal is to help people learn how to be healthy and incorporate nutrition and fitness into their lives without letting it take over their lives. Lets just say I love anything to do with nutrition and fitness and I want to help everyone learn how good food really is for you, mentally and physically. My number one goal is to give you the tools you need over one month or even six months, so that you never need to worry about how to properly feed yourself. My one requirement is that you must be just as motivated as I am to live healthy and deliciously to the benefit of your body!

One on One Coaching: Though I am based in Reno, NV, I can work with anyone 3 to 3000 miles away from me. I am able to do this because I use an online and app based portal that allows me to watch what you eat from day to day to make sure that you are eating in a manner that is best for your body. This also allows me to see what you have in the coming days for training if you are an athlete so we can make sure you are eating enough. And don't worry, just because you are food journaling doesn't mean I am going to criticize every little thing that you eat. I just want to make sure you are eating in the right quantities and getting all your vitamins and nutrients. My theory is if you want to eat a cookie, please eat your cookie, just don't eat the whole box. Everything in moderation.
Areas of expertise:

In the words of one of my clients:
"You helped me log my food, and gave me ideas and suggestions to help shape it as we went, taking weight and performance goals into account. I got a better sense of the carb/fat/protein ratios that I needed to target, the best ways to get that in, and how to time it. I'd say that you did a good job balancing what I was comfortable with and what you wanted to see. I never felt like I was making any drastic or difficult changes, but I do feel like I made a lot of valuable improvements." - Phil Gaimon, Bissell Pro Cycling
